
KATHMANDU, March 27 - Nepali national team wrapped up the practice matches in Kolkata 3-0 after beating East Bengal 2-1 in the third and final match on Monday, said a press release issued by the All Nepal Football Association.
Defender Sagar Thapa and midfielder play maker Pradeep Maharjan netted a goal apiece.
'B' Division football
The tumultuous season of Friends' Club came to an abrupt end when its junior team was relegated from 'B' Division Monday on the last day of the Martyrs' Memorial National 'B' Division Football League at the Dashrath Stadium.
Friends' Club, which changed two presidents in the last 12 months, had finished at the 11th place in the National 'A' Division league. On the last day of the 'B' Division league, former 'A' Division outfit Kathmandu Club thrashed Friends' 5-0 to claim fourth position. The match between Star Club and United Youth Club ended at a 0-0 draw.
