Journalism training held

KATHMANDU: With the objective of producing journalists from indigenous communities, the Association of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities Journalists (ANIJ) launched a four-month-long journalism training for the Janajati youths on Wednesday. Addressing the inaugural function organised at the ANIJ hall, Anamnagar, Pramod Tandukar, communication officer of the JEP, said: “The Janajati Empowerment Project (JEP) will provide funds for the training and bring the Janajati journalists to the mainstream media.” ANIJ president Khim Ghale said the training was the first effort made by the ANIJ to produce skilled journalists from the Janajati community. Some youths people are taking part in the training.
