Wales drop Charvis from France clash
WALES have dropped flanker Colin Charvis for Saturday's Six Nations Championship clash against title favourites France in Cardiff.

The 84 times-capped Newcastle forward makes way in a new-look back row, with skipper Michael Owen switched to replace Charvis at blindside flanker and Llanelli's Alix Popham wearing No 8.

Two other changes from the side held by Italy are both enforced due to injuries. Wing Mark Jones has been replaced by Dafydd James, with scrum-half Michael Phillips coming in for Dwayne Peel.

Gavin Henson, meanwhile, remains among the substitutes as Wales look to end their miserable campaign on a winning note.

France have dropped flanker Olivier Magne in the only change from the team who defeated England last weekend. Julien Bonnaire comes in.
