Musician Pradhananga felicitated

POKHARA: Sarbagya Man Pradhananga, 92, was felicitated here yesterday for his contribution in culture and music in Pokhara.Remembering his contribution in cultural and musical field, 22 organizations of Pokhara felicitated Pradhananga together.

He started his career in musical field in 2003 BS and since 2011 BS he worked as a teacher of Bhairav dance and continued his career in musical and cultural field. He was also the founding Treasurer of Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was elected as the Zonal President of Nepali Congress in 2015 BS. He was already honoured with different honours and prizes. He added an amount of Rs 10,000 in the cash prize of 15,000 received as Shiromani Puraskar and donated to Pokhareli Yuva sanskritik Pariwar.

He has established Sarbagya Man Bishnu Devi Sangitik Puraskar with the amount of Rs. 230,000 as a revolving fund in the name of his late wife Bishnu Devi.

At the programme held under the chairmanship of President of Bhairav Cultural Preservation Committee, Krishna Dev Pradhananga, Academician Saru Bhakta, Satya Mohan Joshi, Ashok Palikhe of Newa Khala, organizer of the programme Ramesh Shrestha, Poet Tirtha Shrestha and Chairman of the Pokhareli Yuva Sanskritik Pariwar Ishwar Mani Pokharel expressed their views on Pradhananga's contribution on cultural, musical and social sectors.
