    Bouddha out of 'A' Division

KATHMANDU, Feb 13 - Bouddha Football Club became the first club to be relegated after it went down 4-0 to Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) in the Martyr's Memorial ANFA-SanMiguel National League football tournament Sunday at the Dashrath Stadium.
Janmat Karki's hat trick ensured that Bouddha's stay in the 'A' Division ended after a year. It was Bouddha's 19th loss in 26 matches and is dead last with 11 points with two more matches in hands. It can't come out of the quagmire even if it wins both the matches.

It a sad tale for Bouddha, which won 'C' Division and 'B' Division to enter the premier division in consecutive years. It began the top flight football promisingly against strong Mahendra Police Club (MPC) with a goalless draw.

In the other match at the Dashrath Stadium, Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) defeated Sankata Club 3-0 to go top of the table with 59 points. TAC also has equal points but is second on goal-difference.

Janmat also went top of the highest scorer list sharing the position with Obagbemiro Junior of Brigade Boys Club at 21 goals. He opened the scoring in the first minute and went on to score in the 22nd and the 36th minute.

He would have scored many more if he hadn't missed at least half-a-dozen chances. Bishwo Bairag Samal also netted one.

In MMC's victory, Nigerian striker Nurudeen Olawale scored twice – one each in the 27th and 86th minute while Basanta Gauchan netted one in the 85th minute.

At Armed Police Force Ground, New Road Team faced Boy's Union Club and Jawalakhel Youth Club locked horns with Friends' Club but both game produced 1-1 draws.

Friends' ensured its stay in 'A' Division after a valuable point. Shishir Adhikari scored the equalizer in the 32nd minute after JYC took lead in the 17th minute from Dipesh Thapa's goal.

NRT earned a point scoring just before the final whistle. Kiran Kapali scored in the second minute of the injury time to cancel Binay Chaudhary's goal netted in the 59th minute.
