Kathmandu, Jan. 23 2008 -  Contrary to rumours that Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's health condition had worsened early Tuesday morning, attending doctors confirmed that his health was stable and improving.

A regular check-up on Tuesday morning showed that PM Koirala is in stable condition and is improving," Dr. Man Bahadur K.C. said in a statement.

PM Koirala was feeling easy and took his breakfast," Dr. K.C. said. He has been advised to take a few days of rest, doctors said.

Doctors have been attending on PM Koirala regularly after he complained of respiratory problem on Sunday. His health has been a matter of serious concern at a juncture when the country is heading for the April-10 Constituent Assembly elections.

Koirala has been suffering from bronchitis and cold weather does not augur well with him, according to doctors.

Physicians had also suggested a week ago that he should skip all programmes and ensure complete protection from cold.
