- The Himalayan Times
Jan 08 2008, Pokhara - Minister of State for General Administration Ramchandra Yadav today said that Terai agitation has flared as the sentiments of Madhesi people have not been addressed so far.
Speaking at a press meet organized by the Kaski chapter of Press Chautari Nepal here, he said that voices had been raised to address the Madhes problem since 1990 but nothing has been done so far.
Yadav said that present crisis in Terai was the outcome of non- representation of Madhesis in any sector be it the ruling or administrative level and the problem should be solved through talks. " Madhes agitation got its present form as the government neglected the development of Terai," he said.
